About The Position

The Assistant Production Operator (APO) role is an entry-level position which supports the production process through a variety of activities. Support and adherence to our 5S environment is a key component to all our production roles. This opening is for our 1st shift - 8:00AM - 4:30PM - Monday-Friday.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Continuous learning, and improvement, mindset is a must; there are many opportunities to learn and develop at BRF, but the individual needs to be motivated to engage in those opportunities.
Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Willingness to offer suggestions on ways to improve assigned work.
Ability to follow and implement written or oral instructions.

Work in a manufacturing environment, which includes fluctuation in heat, moisture, and noise.
Wear Food Manufacturing GMP Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - hard hat, hairnet (head and beard if applicable), steel toes shoes/boots, face mask, no facial piercings, false eyelashes or fake fingernails.
English fluency required to successfully speak, read, write, and comprehend directions in English and communicate with other employees in English as part of regular job duties.

Responsibilities

Performs packing, stacking, and inspection requirements for each of the different production lines.
Prepares packaging for filling at the appropriate line.
Communicates production concerns to line leaders, supervisors, mechanics, and quality control.
Completes material handling as needed to keep the line supplied.
Operates equipment such as labelers, case erectors, case packers.
Performs and documents verification checks to ensure output of acceptable products accurately.
Verify proper codes are on all packaging.
Follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including wearing personal protective equipment.
Adheres to all safety requirements.
Assist Operators in meeting line requirements to ensure fluent delivery of cases to the end customer.
Clean, organize, perform rework, dumps bottles and other tasks associated with driving performance efficiency in the operation of the manufacturing environment.
Learn 5S standards and help to drive them throughout all assigned activities.
