About The Position
The Peabody Institute Library of Danvers is hiring a part-time, non-benefitted Assistant Librarian. The role provides direct service to library patrons and performs circulation, reference, and youth services work, along with other duties as assigned. The library considers relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills in assessing qualifications, unless a qualification is labeled required.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree is required.
- Strong technology skills are required.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Offender Record Check (CORI) background check.
Nice To Haves
- Library experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct service to patrons throughout the Library.
- Perform circulation work.
- Perform reference work.
- Perform youth services work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
