About The Position

The University of Tennessee at Martin is seeking an Assistant Jumping Seat Equestrian Team Coach to support its NCAA Division I equestrian program. This role focuses on the Jump Seat discipline, including the Flat and Fences squads. Responsibilities include coaching, student-athlete development, recruiting, and overseeing student workers and team barn managers. The coach will also manage horse care and animal welfare, facility and barn operations, competition preparation, compliance, external outreach, and program development. The goal is to foster a positive, accountable, and competitive team culture with high standards of professionalism, horsemanship, and animal welfare. The University of Tennessee at Martin is a primary campus of the University of Tennessee System, located in Northwest Tennessee, serving approximately 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Equestrian facilities include a 110-foot by 220-foot enclosed heated arena, outdoor riding arenas, barn facilities, and pasture space.

Requirements

• Experience in the Jumping Seat discipline
