About The Position

The Assistant Inventory Manager is the primary point of contact for all lot and inventory-related issues and processes. This role is responsible for managing new and used car inventory records, working closely with Service and Sales management to ensure inventory data is accurate and up-to-date. The position also ensures the proper presentation of vehicles and the lot, assists employees with verifying vehicle status and availability, and may perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Previous or current valet or porter experience.
• High-level organizational skills: ability to manage large volumes of information, data, and paperwork; be responsive to requests from management, other staff, etc.
• Ability to use inventory management systems, and other industry technology.
• High level attention to detail; able to perform quality-control.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to understand and follow all state and federal regulations, company policies and processes.
• Valid driver's license with driving record acceptable to the company.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive or inventory / warehouse experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic internal audits, research discrepancies, identify and correct deficiencies.
• Manage the replenishment process and analyze changes to inventory levels based on historical data and sales input.
• Implement processes to reduce inventory on-hand.
• Process incoming vehicles (new / used / trade-ins).
• Verify all units have proper stickers, labels, and plates.
• Other duties as assigned.
