About The Position

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing housekeeping and laundry services to ensure facility standards are met. Staff must comply with state and federal guidelines and follow facility policies and procedures under the direction of the Housekeeping Director. Supervision in long-term care or healthcare is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of environmental services or housekeeping and laundry experience in nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Environmental Services is preferred; we will provide on-the-job training for entry-level candidates.
  • Supervision in long-term care or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews daily staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all areas of responsibility.
  • Conducts environmental rounds in areas of responsibility, paying particular attention to restrooms and corridors; ensures that there is full compliance with standards of cleanliness and that needed equipment and supplies are available.
  • Coaches staff based on inspection findings.
  • Directs and supervises the work activities of staff in areas of responsibility; assigns and schedules all special projects as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
