The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned behavioral health programs while ensuring high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and staff support. This role provides clinical and administrative leadership to program staff and works collaboratively with executive leadership to achieve organizational goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of behavioral health experience
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Active QMHP credential issued through the Virginia Board of Counseling
  • Mobile Crisis Certification for Adults and Children
  • Strong knowledge of DBHDS regulations and behavioral health documentation standards

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily program operations and ensure effective service delivery.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor staffing needs and assign caseloads appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations, licensing standards, and agency policies.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation, including progress notes, service plans, discharge summaries, and prior authorizations.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and assist staff in correcting documentation deficiencies.
  • Participate in clinical staffing meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Support program development, workflow improvements, and continuous quality initiatives.
  • Respond to routine and urgent program needs while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to promote organizational success.
