This position supports the County Maintenance Manager by planning, overseeing, and evaluating maintenance activities throughout the assigned region.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Highway Maintenance Coordinator, Roadway Programs Coordinator, or Transportation Construction Manager 1 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six years of technical experience in highway maintenance, highway construction, or maintenance of heavy equipment used in highway construction projects; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Prepare schedules, estimates, and work plans to guide maintenance activities
Review and adjust scheduled work based on conditions, reports, and resource availability
Inspect work sites to confirm adherence to standards, practices, and project intentions
Ensure foremen receive training and support needed for independent and effective supervision
Monitor work zones and promote safe procedures for crews and the public
Oversee reports, evaluations, and administrative tasks that support maintenance operations
