About The Position

The Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques for volleyball.
  • Knowledge of specific equipment, physical fitness, and safety related to volleyball.
  • Ability to prepare successful practice/rehearsal and game/performance plans.
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff.
  • Ability to encourage student participation and establish rapport.
  • Ability to motivate participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
  • Ability to maintain equipment and uniforms.
  • Ability to supervise all areas of participation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with MSHSL rules and regulations.
  • Compliance with and support of all school district regulations and policies.
  • Ability to develop a program-specific handbook.
