About The Position

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager is responsible for attaining the sales and profit targets established for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering retail. The role leads employees and supports the restaurant’s operations, sales, expenses, training, and team development.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in an Assistant General Manager role.
Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting.
Strong knowledge of commonly used restaurant practices, concepts, and procedures.
Strong administrative, multitasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to lead 10 or more team members per shift.

Nice To Haves

Quick-service restaurant experience preferred.
Drive-through and catering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets.
Recognize revenue areas and develop strategies to impact sales.
Enforce and execute advertising and marketing plans, as well as HR and training materials.
Manage and control direct expenses, including labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts, and other direct expenses.
Select, retain, supervise, and train employees.
Conduct quarterly reviews.
Adhere to established training programs.
Determine employee advancement or termination.
Develop employees into shift managers.
Provide guidance to the team and lead them toward success.
