About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a hands-on leader responsible for daily store operations, team development, and business results. The AGM oversees business performance and profitability and helps lead the hiring, training, and growth of Customer Service Associates. This role supports a satisfying customer experience, effective store operations, and achievement of Wawa’s safety, quality, and operational standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
Strong background in store operations, including staffing, training, performance management, sales building, scheduling, and expense control.
Ability to implement change and drive results through effective execution.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Proven leadership experience, ideally in food service or retail environments.

Responsibilities

Gather customer feedback and resolve problems to provide a smooth, friendly Wawa experience.
Deliver quality, engaging training to Customer Service Associates so they can meet safety, quality, and operational standards.
Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, recognition, and motivation of team members.
Coordinate schedules and daily tasks to keep operations running efficiently.
Monitor store performance by reviewing reports, managing shrink, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Monitor trends and collaborate with peers to develop action plans that drive optimal results.
Oversee business performance and profitability.
