About The Position

The Assistant General Manager helps oversee club operations and supports the General Manager in maintaining Equinox brand standards. The role leads and manages the Front Desk, Maintenance, and Kids’ Club departments, supports ancillary departments and sales, and helps ensure strong customer service, cleanliness, safety, and effective financial and staff management. The position requires flexibility to work schedules based on business needs and openness to reassignment to other locations.

Candidates should have proven leadership ability and 1–3 years of management experience in an operational management industry. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. The role includes physical requirements such as lifting up to 25 pounds and remaining mobile throughout the facility during the day. The stated annual pay range is $72,000–$85,000.

Responsibilities

• Influence and inspire a dynamic workforce.
• Interview, hire, train, and manage the Front Desk, Maintenance, and Kids’ Club departments to meet Equinox brand standards.
• Assist departments with developing schedules and ensure adherence to payroll budgets.
• Complete staff performance evaluations monthly and annually.
• Follow the monthly ordering timeline and supply budgets.
• Ensure a high level of customer service for club members.
• Partner with the General Manager to support ancillary departments and sales.
• Maintain awareness of monthly departmental goals and projections.
• Ensure the club meets Equinox cleanliness standards.
• Ensure the club follows Risk Management and Loss Prevention procedures and monitor club safety and security.
• Facilitate other projects or responsibilities delegated by the General Manager.
• Work flexible schedules as business needs require and remain open to location reassignment.
