About The Position

Outdoorsy Hill Country is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee daily operations and drive revenue at their luxury glamping retreat in Stonewall, Texas. This dynamic role combines high-end hospitality management, event sales, and beverage operations. The AGM will be responsible for the guest journey, property revenue, and ensuring a premier experience for guests and events. This is a full-time position reporting to the General Manager, requiring a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in management with a focus on daily operations, Food & Beverage (F&B), and Event Sales.
  • Prior experience in boutique hotels, luxury resorts, or high-end hospitality environments.
  • Current TABC Seller-Server Certification.
  • Current Texas Food Manager Certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven track record of hitting sales targets and managing an event lead pipeline.
  • Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team (Housekeeping, Maintenance, and FOH).
  • Comfort working in an outdoor environment and the physical ability to navigate 30+ acres.
  • Understanding of the 'Outdoorsy' brand and ability to engage with diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end guest journey, ensuring a seamless and upscale glamping experience.
  • Maintain a high-visibility presence on the property to greet guests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
  • Monitor guest feedback and reviews to implement operational changes and improve satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and close leads for Weddings, Corporate Retreats, and Family Reunions.
  • Conduct property tours for prospective event clients.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets for group buyouts and event space rentals.
  • Oversee Sagebrush Bar operations, including beverage selection, inventory, and profitability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to TABC regulations and responsible alcohol service.
  • Manage beverage inventory, COGS, and vendor relationships.
  • Analyze P&L statements for the beverage program and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty, leading daily huddles with operational teams.
  • Manage weekly staff schedules and labor costs.
  • Refine and enforce operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Act as the primary Certified Food Protection Manager, ensuring food safety standards.
  • Oversee food handler certifications and upscale service etiquette training for staff.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for event planners on event days.
  • Coordinate with external vendors such as caterers, florists, and rental companies.
