About The Position

Villa Restaurant Group is hiring an Assistant General Manager for Starbucks at John F. Kennedy International Airport! We’re looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing a team, delivering great guest service, and keeping operations running smoothly in a busy airport environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a coffee shop, restaurant, or high-volume food service setting.
• Starbucks experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
• Experience training employees and supporting daily operational goals.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to meet airport badging and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with daily operations while maintaining Starbucks beverage, food, and service standards.
• Lead shifts and keep the team organized during peak travel periods.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and employee coaching.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, cash handling, and labor to support business goals.
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and airport security requirements.
• Create a positive workplace where team members feel supported and understand expectations.
• Oversee store operations in the General Manager’s absence.
