About The Position
Premium Velocity Auto/Jiffy Lube is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager with daily operations, staff supervision, and overall store performance. The role involves training employees, participating in in-store tasks, and contributing to sales growth by executing operational standards and achieving KPIs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can drive sales, provide exceptional customer service, and lead, coach, and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant General Manager may oversee full store operations when the General Manager is absent.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum 1 year of retail management experience.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and percentages.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to use computers and internet tools and complete required forms.
- Ability to stand for extended periods; lift 50+ lbs.; bend, reach, crawl, and climb stairs.
- Comfortable working in enclosed or semi-outdoor environments.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and professional.
- Proven leadership abilities and commitment to team development.
- Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
- Growth-minded with willingness to train.

Responsibilities
- Open and/or close the store, maintain store cleanliness, and oversee cash and credit card procedures.
- Order, receive, and track inventory in the store POS system.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, on-the-job training, scheduling, and corrective actions.
- Lead by example using J Team Service Standards while supervising and performing lube services.
- Resolve customer needs and concerns to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and Environmental, Health & Safety compliance.
- Oversee full store operations in the General Manager’s absence.
- Support the General Manager with daily operations, staff supervision, and overall store performance.
- Help train employees and contribute to sales growth by executing operational standards and achieving KPIs.
