About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our outdoor hospitality leadership team in Wisconsin. This role is designed for an individual who thrives in an outdoor environment, possesses strong problem-solving skills, can manage multiple tasks efficiently, understands financial metrics, and can translate innovative ideas into practical solutions. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to exceptional outdoor hospitality experiences, focusing on service, safety, and operational excellence. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily resort operations, providing leadership during the resort's busiest hours, and will play a key role in managing Housekeeping, Front Office, and Recreation departments, while also supporting overall resort operations. Outstanding communication, organizational, leadership, financial acumen, and customer service skills are essential. Experience in hospitality, retail, restaurant, recreation, tourism, campground, or resort management is preferred. We are looking for a proactive individual who takes ownership, acts with urgency, thinks creatively, and is results-oriented.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of management or comparable leadership experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and knowledge of AI and how to use it.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading, directing, and managing all resort operations including resort budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, strategic planning, company policies, and brand standards.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, labor efficiency, and overall resort performance.
  • Develop relationships to extend the RV resort’s brand within the local community through philanthropic or paid efforts in collaboration with the Director of Marketing.
  • Responsible for all recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, assessing, evaluating, coaching, counseling, recognizing, and rewarding team members.
  • Ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and company expectations.
  • Collaborate to quickly and effectively address issues that could adversely affect the resort, guest satisfaction, or overall operation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies that regulate RV resort and campground operations.
  • Provide data and operational insight to assist with capital expenditure and expansion budget needs.
  • Serve as a multi-department leader for Housekeeping, Front Office, and Recreation.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty according to the resort’s seasonal schedule.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence during primarily second-shift operating hours throughout the peak season.
  • Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance, and financial performance.
  • Assist in identifying operational performance, productivity, and efficiency gaps and implementing measures to correct those deficiencies.
  • Lead by example and jump into operational areas when additional support is needed.
  • Serve and act as General Manager in their absence.
  • Work with the General Manager and Marketing Department to increase reservations, occupancy, revenue, and overall brand awareness.
  • Assist team members with handling and resolving guest complaints.
  • Enforce resort rules and standards with guests and team members.
  • Prepare and submit all reports to the General Manager and Corporate Management as requested and according to scheduled due dates.
  • Assume responsibilities of any line-level employee as needed.
  • Assist with special events, peak periods, emergencies, and other operational needs.
  • Support company-wide initiatives and projects as needed.

  • Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually
