About The Position

We are currently offering full time Assistant General Manager (AGM) opportunities at Tavern Hall. The ideal candidate is an experienced "hands-on" leader who is energetic and self-starting with a guest-first focus. Candidates must have the capacity to build relationships, motivate others and create a culture of accountability. Taking an assertive approach in overcoming business obstacles and the ability to make data driven decisions that benefit the company and the team are also essential traits. Most importantly, candidates should have a passion for the industry and a strong desire to work for a company that does it the right way. Tavern Hall develops its people through comprehensive, best in class initial and ongoing training programs, including an e-Learning platform called The Point. The company is purpose-driven, existing to enable Happiness and Loyalty with Every Interaction. Regional Managers oversee a smaller number of stores (3) and work out of the restaurants daily, covering PTO. A Facilities Manager handles equipment repairs. Owners are actively involved, and the company aggressively promotes from within. The restaurant is organized, systematized, and run like a business with a strong culture of accountability. The company does not compromise on store-level management, capital expenditures, or hourly labor.

Requirements

  • 2+ years high-volume, upscale casual restaurant management experience with a strong track record of progressive career growth (within one company a plus).
  • High-energy, works with a sense of urgency.
  • Polished and professional presentation and approach.
  • Strong leadership traits with the ability to drive performance results through motivating and coaching others.
  • Detail oriented with high standards in service and organization and operations.
  • Guest focused and hospitable, you truly enjoy taking care of others.
  • Proficiency with MS office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc...).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Overseeing all HR duties including the hiring, training and coaching of all hourly employees.
  • Working with others to assertively address and overcome all obstacles that face the business.
  • Using data to make business decisions that optimize the health of the restaurant.
