About The Position

Smoothie King is seeking a purpose-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead a store team and represent the brand. The role supports the General Manager in building a motivated team, delivering an exceptional guest experience, and balancing strategic, operational, and leadership priorities. The Assistant General Manager helps hire, develop, and lead team members; uses operational tools and performance indicators to support store excellence; manages cash activities; upholds food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards; and supports company programs and local marketing. The role requires a customer-first approach, strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility to work the hours needed to operate the store, including varied days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with customers, team members, and the community.
Knowledge of general POS functionality.
Experience with OSHA, EEOC, and other federal and state laws and local statutes.
ServSafe Certification.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and comfort working with guests and team members.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate communication across diverse work groups.
Ability to work the hours needed to run the store, which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager with hiring, developing, and leading the store team to provide a great guest experience and fulfill the company mission.
Use operational tools—including Profit and Loss Statement, Daily Business Review, Cash & Deposit Log, and Data Central scheduling and inventory management tools—to achieve operational excellence.
Review the store environment and KPIs to identify problems, concerns, and improvement opportunities, and partner with the General Manager to address them.
Manage store cash activities, including daily deposits.
Ensure food safety guidelines are followed by the store and all team members.
Own and promote brand standards in alignment with the company vision.
Maintain store appearance and cleanliness in accordance with Smoothie King brand standards.
Drive implementation of company programs through action planning and by inspiring the team to meet operational standards.
Assist the General Manager in developing local store marketing plans, including community outreach, marketing, and special events.
Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver smoothies and healthy retail products to the community.
Provide an exceptional guest experience throughout each guest’s visit.
Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge in support of Smoothie King’s culture, values, and mission.
Use a customer-first approach, connect with customers, and discover and respond to their needs.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Take initiative and contribute hands-on to completing work.
