About The Position

The Assistant General Manager of Dining Services will play a key role in the grand opening of the dining venues at Emerson Lakes, a continuing care retirement community in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. This role leads a team and oversees dining room and café operations, supporting mealtime service and the efficiency of the kitchen, café, dining rooms, and catering areas. The position also oversees employee hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and development, and helps maintain service, sanitation, safety, and company standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in dining room management, service, and sanitation; up to 1 year of dietetics experience may be substituted.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Proven ability to supervise multiple venues and manage large teams.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Successfully complete and pass the required Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening before starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, training, hiring, coaching, and development of employees in the restaurant, café, and supervisory positions.
• Ensure food is properly portioned, plates are attractively presented, and service meets established standards.
• Supervise cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock.
• Ensure dining staff comply with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Participate in programs and activities designed to enhance employee and resident satisfaction.
