About The Position

NRS is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for one of our fast-paced Distribution Centers. The ideal candidate has run a large (1M+ sq. ft.) high-volume warehouse distribution center operation and has a progressive track record of driving operational efficiency and results. Exceptional interpersonal team leadership skills are essential as you’ll oversee a staff of up to 5 Operations Managers. This role will focus on maintaining safety, efficiency, and consistency across assigned shifts while leading and developing frontline Managers and Supervisors. The ideal candidate has prior WMS knowledge, and a passion for building teams and driving process improvements. This position plays a vital role in ensuring customer requirements are met, operational goals are achieved, in a positive work environment. This is a 2nd Shift opportunity, from 4:00PM to 12:30AM.

Requirements

7-10 years of related experience directly reporting to Senior Leadership.
Big-box operational experience is strongly preferred.
Experience supervising large, diverse teams of several hundred hourly associates.
Strong WMS experience is required.
Ideal candidates would have led or played a key part of a WMS integration; working knowledge of Manhattan is strongly preferred but not required.
Strong reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and communicate policies & procedures clearly.
Strong technical skills in Windows/MS Office (Word & Excel).
A passion for training and empowering operations leaders in the building.
Willingness to tackle exciting new process-improvement projects.

Nice To Haves

working knowledge of Manhattan is strongly preferred but not required.
