About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring an Assistant General Manager for their Tooling rental facility in Odessa, TX. This role is responsible for managing operations to maximize the financial success of the branch, building and developing a strong team, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Tooling Solutions branches offer industrial tooling rentals, including power tools, pneumatic tools, and hand tools, along with tech-enabled tool tracking, site-wide communication solutions, and expert services like tool testing, repair, and certification. Consumables, industrial supplies, and communication solutions are also provided. The company utilizes proprietary T3 technology to provide real-time insights into fleet availability, usage, and performance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years rental industry experience, preferably in a management role
  • Industrial tooling experience / knowledge is highly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Build an awesome team by hiring and developing amazing people.
  • Conduct reviews and performance evaluations as necessary to produce positive results.
  • Train employees and help them improve their skills.
  • Provide guidance in areas that may need improvement or correction and provide documentation toward these efforts.
  • Manage operations to maximize the financial success of the branch.
  • Conduct monthly profit and loss reviews to understand the business and business trends, identify areas for improvement and future revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor metrics including, but not limited to: equipment utilization; underperforming assets; warranty recovery; billed mechanical hours; aged receivables and customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate information to your team and management.
  • Establish reasonable and measurable goals with well defined expectations for team members.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.
