About The Position

Five Iron Golf is seeking experienced hospitality leaders for its Assistant General Manager – Social Leadership Talent Network across current and future markets as the company expands. The Assistant General Manager works hand in hand with the General Manager – Social to provide Five Iron Golf’s entertainment experience, coach staff to deliver exceptional service and genuine, enlightened hospitality, and create fun, memorable experiences for guests. The position oversees the social side of the business, including leagues, simulator rentals, events, facilities maintenance, food and beverage service, and staff scheduling. The Assistant General Manager helps drive revenue, supports efficient operations and cost management, understands the location’s profit and loss, contributes to community relationships and local marketing, and takes ownership of each guest’s experience. The role requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may involve relocation depending on business need and market timing. Applications remain active for 90 days and are considered for current and future opportunities.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hospitality management experience, including at least 1 recent year as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Strong leadership ability and willingness to lead by example.
Exemplary communication, time management, and organization skills.
Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to be present in the space on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods and maneuver up and down stairs.
Ability to obtain proper licensing and certifications for the location.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue in simulator rentals, food and beverage sales, and league sales.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
Manage onboarding and continued education for new hires.
Evaluate employee performance to ensure day-to-day business needs are met.
Manage and oversee social-side operations, including leagues, simulator rental experiences, event execution, facilities maintenance, food and beverage service, and staff scheduling.
Set and manage above-and-beyond service standards for staff.
Maintain extensive knowledge of products, business lines, and promotions.
Maintain an understanding of the location’s profit and loss.
Support efficient operations by monitoring and reducing labor and other operating costs.
Help build community relationships and participate in local marketing efforts.
Take ownership of each guest’s enjoyment and experience at Five Iron Golf.
