The Assistant General Manager of Sales is responsible for driving membership growth and retention at Golf Ranch. This role requires a leader who can set direction, hold a team to high standards, and take ownership of membership outcomes. The ideal candidate is energized by performance, uncomfortable with mediocrity, and driven by the belief that every guest interaction is an opportunity. This position demands self-motivation and a proactive approach to raising the bar for the team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a sales-driven environment (hospitality, entertainment, fitness, or membership-based businesses preferred).
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Deep comfort with membership sales conversations, including pitching, handling objections, closing, and coaching others.
  • Experience using performance data to identify gaps, develop individuals, and drive consistent team-wide results.
  • Strong communication skills: direct, authentic, and persuasive with both guests and team members.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, POS systems, or membership management platforms.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and interact with guests for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, and set up items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Model the energy, professionalism, and accountability expected from the team.
  • Own the new hire training process, including onboarding, shadow shifts, and expectation-setting.
  • Provide direct, real-time coaching to the team during shifts, focusing on training, redirecting, and recognizing performance.
  • Build a culture of ongoing feedback and non-negotiable standards.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker during busy periods, solving problems and keeping the team on track.
  • Drive Ranch Pass membership growth through consistent daily execution.
  • Ensure every guest is offered the opportunity to join the membership program.
  • Utilize performance data to identify trends, recognize top performers, and improve team execution.
  • Hold the team accountable for a consistent, high-quality sales process to convert guest interactions into lasting membership value.
  • Manage all aspects of the Ranch Pass program, including coaching, communication, retention, and member satisfaction.
  • Set and maintain the standard for all guest touchpoints, from initial impression to issue resolution.
  • Ensure accurate and careful execution of payments, upgrades, profile management, and cancellations.
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and decisively to protect both the guest relationship and the brand.
  • Maintain an environment that reflects Golf Ranch's standards in all details.
  • Oversee sales counter operations with full accountability for accuracy and consistency.
  • Train and hold team members accountable to Golf Ranch systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and daily checklists.
  • Troubleshoot issues in real-time, including technology problems, high-traffic rushes, and staffing gaps, without compromising pace or quality.
