About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant General Manager – B-Lux Grill and Bar. Bring the energy, flavor, and fun to B-LUX Grill & Bar — where handcrafted burgers, over-the-top shakes, and an exciting guest experience come together to create unforgettable moments for every guest who walks through our doors. In this role, you will support the restaurant's overall success by helping to lead daily operations, developing team members, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role partners closely with the General Manager to drive service standards, financial performance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Through hands-on leadership, coaching, and positive encouragement, they inspire their team to deliver exceptional hospitality while fostering an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed together.

Requirements

  • Background of general food and beverage knowledge, involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant and supervisory experience of staff is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of directly related experience, including experience with craft cocktails.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of the facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of associates and creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Fill in where needed (as interim Manager, Supervisor, or Associate) to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are met daily.
  • Continually strive to develop, coach, and train your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
