About The Position

Cascada Spa and Hotel is a boutique luxury hotel and hydrothermal spa known for its lavish accommodations and outstanding wellness experiences. Our LEED Platinum-certified property is committed to sustainability across all operations. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Assistant Front Office Manager to support the Director of Front Office in overseeing front desk operations, concierge services, and guest relations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of guest service, efficiency, and satisfaction while upholding our commitment to sustainability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of front office experience in the hospitality industry required, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in front office management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to utilize computer equipment including monitors for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a luxury hotel, spa, or wellness-focused property is preferred.
  • Degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising and coordinating the front office team, including training, scheduling, and performance support.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive, collaborative work environment and encourage professional growth among team members.
  • Help ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes, maintaining a smooth flow of operations.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of front office procedures, schedules, and checklists to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the front desk and lobby areas to guarantee cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Front Office, Director of Wellness, Director of Housekeeping, Director of Facilities, Director of Food & Beverage, and Managing Director to ensure seamless cross-departmental communication and guest experience.
  • Utilize technology and training to address and resolve guest complaints and requests promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and sustain strong guest relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Work with other departments to address any front office-related issues and enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a presence at the front office, to include welcoming wellness members and guests to the property.
  • Assist with Revenue Management tasks to optimize space utilization and maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Manage front office supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Support the development and management of the front office budget, focusing on cost control while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security standards and regulations.
  • Train staff on proper procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Promote and implement eco-friendly practices within the front office department along with the Director of Front Office.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction and energy conservation, aligning with the hotel's LEED Platinum certification standards.
