About The Position

Responsible for maintaining resort wellness, which includes property integrity, managing multi-departmental staff efficiency, and creating genuine guest satisfaction. Immediate responsibilities include successfully managing major corporate visits by maintaining strong interdepartmental communication, resolving guest issues effectively, monitor effective payroll and inventory levels, cultivate employee growth through training opportunities, and assist the Front Office Manager with budgetary guidelines. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Villa resort rooms, services, and facilities, including personnel, features and hours of operation.

Requirements

  • College education preferred.
  • Prior Front Desk experience preferred.
  • High aptitude for computer programs.
  • Excellent organization habits.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds across short-medium distance.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.

  • Communicate proactively, cooperatively, and appropriately with other hotel and resort departments regarding guests’ needs and preferences as well as property situations.
  • Maintain discretion and security for the resort and guests.
  • Comply with procedures and requirements established in the Front Office Manual.
  • Be an ambassador to Kiawah Island Golf Resort at all times, in and outside of the work place.
  • Ability to focus attention on details and be able to organize, prioritize, and follow up.
  • Ability to take initiative and work efficiently within any given period of time, unsupervised.
  • Ability to go the extra mile.
  • Should be creative, innovative and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Should display leadership qualities in regards to thinking clearly, quickly, and making decisions.
  • Ability to direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
