About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring team members are properly trained and communicated with regarding all front-end functions, including guest checks, refunds, WIC, Absolute Card, security issues, register fund management, guest services, price changes, product location, and produce codes. The Assistant Front-End Manager stays informed about sales programs, including ad items, special prices, and coupon deals, and communicates this information to the front-end team. They are responsible for immediately notifying appropriate personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in the system. Additionally, this role involves establishing and monitoring team member work schedules to optimize guest service, productivity, and efficiency, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times. The position also ensures the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies within budget guidelines and supports the Front End Manager in assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 21 Years
  • Regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach
  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination
  • Hear and respond to customer inquiries
  • Standing, walking and bending throughout the entire workday
  • Ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location

Responsibilities

  • Ensures team members are continually communicated with and properly trained regarding all related functions of their job responsibilities as: Proper handling of guest checks, over-rings, refunds, WIC, Absolute Card, security issues, counting of register funds, guest services, price changes, location of store products, produce codes, etc.
  • Is aware of Ad items, special prices, coupon deals or other features that apply to the store’s sales program. Always communicates the information to the front-end.
  • Immediately notifies proper personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in file.
  • Establishes and monitors team member work schedules to ensure maximum guest service, productivity and efficiency. This includes continually observing the front-end for proper coverage during high volume times and ensuring additional help as needed.
  • Ensures the availability, control and proper use of front-end supplies as: bags, register tapes, office forms, cleaning supplies, etc. within established budgets and guidelines.
  • Supports Front End Manager in tasks assigned.
