About The Position

Rugby Canada is the national sport organization for rugby union in Canada, committed to delivering life‑long, inclusive rugby experiences that cultivate participation and inspire excellence from community to club to country. Our purpose is to inspire the nation on the global stage while leading, governing, and supporting the growth and performance of rugby across Canada. Rugby Canada is posting this Expression of Interest (EOI) to establish a qualified talent pool for Assistant Coach assignments with the Women’s National 15s program. Multiple appointments may be made at different times during the year to support training camps, competition windows (e.g., PAC4, WXV), tours, and centralized preparation blocks. Assignments may vary in duration and scope (e.g., camp‑based, tour‑based, part‑time blocks) and may be concurrent with other Rugby Canada programs where appropriate under our One Squad philosophy. Candidates may be contacted as opportunities arise; being in the talent pool does not guarantee an assignment. How the EOI Pool Works Review Window: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Talent Pool Duration: The pool may be used for up to 12 months from posting (or until closed). Next Steps: Selected candidates may be invited to an interview, reference check, and/or skills task. Placement: Assignments are made based on program needs, availability, fit, and expertise. Role Purpose: Working closely with the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach supports the technical, tactical, and cultural delivery of the Women’s National 15s program, with a primary focus on forward‑unit preparation (scrum, lineout, maul/ruck, restarts), performance analysis, and individualized player development.
