About The Position

The Assistant Football Coach at Coventry High School will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the football program. This includes running drills and conditioning at practices and games, ensuring adherence to Interscholastic League rules and regulations, and teaching the fundamental skills and techniques of the sport. The coach will also focus on imparting a sense of achievement to young athletes to enhance their enjoyment of the sport. This is a one-year, renewable position.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid/AED Certified
• Completed the NFHS Concussion Course
• Submit a National BCI with fingerprints to Human Resource prior to starting

Nice To Haves

• 5 years coaching at the Middle school level or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Day to day running of drills and conditioning at practices and games
• Ensure knowledge of rules and regulations of Interscholastic League play
• Teach the skills and techniques of the sport
• Impart to youthful athletes a sense of achievement essential to the enjoyment of the sport
