About The Position

Harrisburg High School is seeking to fill 1-2 assistant football coach positions. These positions may be split stipends. Prior experience is preferred. The season runs from August to November.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of OSAA rules and standards.
• Knowledge of the rules and standards for the sport being coached.
• Knowledge of the District Coaches Handbook.
• First Aid/CPR Training.
• NFHS Certified (or ASEP Certification).
• NFHS – Blocking and Tackling.
• Annual Concussion Management Certificate.
• Steroid Education Certificate.
• Semi-Annual Heat and Climate Acclimatization Certificate/Training.
• SafeSchools Training (upon hire).

Nice To Haves

• Prior coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaching football at the high school level.
• Adhering to OSAA rules and standards.
• Following the rules and standards for the sport.
• Complying with the District Coaches Handbook.
• Ensuring proper First Aid/CPR procedures are followed.
• Completing NFHS Blocking and Tackling certification annually.
• Maintaining Concussion Management knowledge.
• Completing Steroid Education.
• Completing Semi-Annual Heat and Climate Acclimatization training.
• Completing SafeSchools Training upon hire.
