About The Position

Knox College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Football Coach, a non-benefited position reporting to the Head Football Coach. The Assistant Football Coach will assist in advancing the mission and values of Prairie Fire Athletics, by building a competitive NCAA Division III program that develops student-athletes of character, fosters belonging and growth, and competes with purpose. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• Strong understanding of offensive schemes and positional play (WR,RB or QB)
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
• An appreciation for a residential liberal arts education, respect for individual differences, openness to the values and opinions of others, and flexibility to adapt to constant change

• Collegiate football playing experience.
• Experience using a recruiting database(ie. Front Rush, Jumpforward, Spry)
• Experience with social media and overall promotion of the athletics program

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of the Knox College Football Program with a primary focus on the offensive side of the ball and in charge of a positional group (WRs/RBs/QBs), including but not limited to:
• Coach and develop a wide receivers, running backs and/or quarterbacks position groups
• Assist with offensive game planning, scouting and film breakdown
• Support practice planning and on-field instruction with a focus on offensive execution
• Contribute to the development of offensive strategies and systems
• Mentor and support the development of student-athletes with an emphasis on retention.
• Assist in identifying and recruiting prospective student-athletes who demonstrate academic and athletic fit.
• Ensure adherence to all institutional, Midwest Conference, and NCAA Regulations
