About The Position

The Assistant Fastpitch Coach supports the school’s athletic program by coaching fastpitch and contributing to related activities. The role requires knowledge of the sport’s fundamentals, organizational and motivational skills, and the ability to model behavior described in the Coaches Handbook. The coach is expected to support the total athletic program and have successful coaching experience and training over a period of years. Current First Aid and CPR certification is required. Assistant coaches must be at least 19 years old under WIAA regulations. Classroom teachers are preferred but not required. Candidates recommended for hire must attend training on Hepatitis B and HIV, receive Hepatitis B vaccination if necessary, complete the district’s sexual harassment training, and undergo fingerprinting for a background check.
