About The Position

Pathmark Transportation is looking for a skilled and dedicated Assistant Facility Manager. An Assistant Facility Manager supports the daily operations of a transportation facility, ensuring the efficient movement of commercial deliveries such as Retail Deliveries and other freight. The role works closely with the facility manager to oversee staff, coordinate schedules, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, logistics transportation, or a related field.
Experience with dock, warehouse, and transportation management.
10 years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or warehouse industry.
TMS Web base knowledge.
Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily facility operations and transportation activities.
Supervise, train, and motivate drivers, warehouse personnel, and facility staff.
Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure adequate driver and equipment availability.
Monitor compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility environment.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
Support employee performance through coaching, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.
Participate in strategic planning and improvement initiatives.
Provide operational support and perform other duties as assigned by the facility manager.
