About The Position

CCMC is seeking an Assistant Facilities & Amenities Manager for a master-planned community. This role supervises seasonal and year-round recreational activities and is responsible for the upkeep and viability of on-site facilities. The community is highly amenitized and designed for residents' recreational and lifestyle options, holding a strong standing among top master-planned communities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of aquatic maintenance / facility operations experience
  • Lifeguard Trainer Certification
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, including the ability to plan and execute on deliverables
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with Board, staff, residents, volunteers, and contractors
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong supervisory skills to manage the work of employees, contractors, and vendors
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Strong computers skills with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, particularly high heat, and to walk long distances to perform physical inspections
  • Must be able to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform other physical labor
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Manage, program, administer, promote, evaluate, and supervise aquatics/lake facilities and staff.
  • Implement the Red Cross training program and certify lifeguards.
  • Create aquatic programs schedule and classes via recreation software.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate all seasonal aquatic staff.
  • Create/oversee staff work schedules and perform payroll time card processing.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and functionality of multiple facilities.
  • Manage the daily operations of all community swimming pools.
  • Perform chemical testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Manage the opening & closing duties of all facilities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Community Center.
  • Work with maintenance staff to ensure facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe.
  • Work with other departments to promote events/classes and support facility logistics.
  • Perform routine facilities inspections, maintain supply inventory management, and submit work orders.
  • Assist with tracking fitness revenue, annual department budgets, financial reports, & invoice processing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
