About The Position

Work as a member of a classroom team to maintain a safe and positive learning environment for preschool children 2-5 years of age. Employees must be able to be flexible, reliable, positive, communicate effectively as part of a team, and take direction from the teacher and/or facilitator.

Responsibilities

• Supporting, and maintaining a welcoming, compassionate climate that values every student
• Develop positive communication with building and classroom staff, students, and their families
• Model and promote respect and caring in relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues, and the school and district community
• Working as a team to build the social and emotional skills and well being of all students.
• Utilize positive, research-based strategies to guide student’s social behavior in a way that maintains an effective learning environment during the school day and in aftercare.
• Engage in the support of implementation of the current lesson plan or any verbal or written plans for classrooms and individual students to promote curiosity and a love of learning
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized and orderly learning environment
