Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, plus three years of relevant experience in golf course equipment mechanics (or a combination of education and experience).
Must be at least 18 years old, meeting Florida labor law requirements for operating heavy machinery.
A valid driver’s license and comfort operating golf course vehicles.
Working knowledge of electric and gas-powered carts, engines, and hydraulics.
A meticulous attention to detail and the ability to uphold the highest quality standards.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in a variety of golf course vehicles and equipment.
Assist the Equipment Mechanic in prioritizing repair and maintenance tasks.
Independently perform preventative maintenance and adjust engines, cutting mechanisms, and other components of motorized and mechanized equipment.
Use grinders to sharpen mowing equipment and maintain cutting precision.
Ensure all equipment is fueled, lubricated, and ready for action.
Demonstrate and train maintenance staff on the proper use of new equipment.
Maintain an organized inventory of parts, identifying and ordering items as needed.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
Support the Agronomy Team with mowing and other operational activities as needed.
Contribute to the upkeep of high-quality course equipment and facilities.
Attend team meetings, maintain proactive communication, and adhere to all club policies.
