WHB Engineers is a well-established and growing Civil Engineering and Construction Management firm with offices in San Diego, San Mateo, Dublin, Pleasant Hill and Chico, California. Our firm provides a full array of engineering, public works design and construction and project management services. Our staff works on a broad array of challenging and interesting public and private projects. A career with us is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the best civil engineers and construction managers. We are looking for an Assistant Engineer with a civil engineering degree. This is an entry level position. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is organized, has solid communication skills, is team oriented, and personable. This position requires a dependable, and versatile individual. Candidates are not required to have an Engineer In Training (EIT) registration, but EIT registration is desirable. This position will be based in our San Mateo office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• California EIT Registration or actively pursuing EIT
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Dependable, problem solver, professional attitude and behavior
• Self-motivated and goal oriented, with strong attention to detail
• Solid experience with the MS Office Suite

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple designs, reports, and calculations in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards under general supervision
