About The Position
The Electrician Assistant works directly with the electric shop supervisor on a daily basis and with the assistant director as need arises to assure that all university electrical systems operate at the highest efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of previous and directly related experience
- Current Kentucky Drivers License
Responsibilities
- Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University.
- Assists Electrician or Master electricians in performing routine maintenance on University electrical systems
- Leads Laborers in performing routine maintenance on university electrical equipment as required by established procedures.
- Assists in inventory control of required repair parts and tools as outlined in established procedures.
- Assists in time keeping, blueprint takeoffs, material lists and acquisition as required.
