About The Position

IMC Electrical provides electrical installation services for private and public facilities, with experience in multifamily and commercial projects. Headquartered in Northeast Florida, we focus on delivering practical, cost-effective solutions while maintaining strong standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. As an Assistant Electrical Project Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects for commercial and multifamily developments throughout the Southeast United States. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements. This role provides an opportunity to develop project management expertise while contributing to the successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation or field leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting project coordination or assistant project management preferred
  • Multifamily or commercial electrical construction experience preferred
  • Electrical or Journeyman’s License preferred
  • Experience with construction software such as PlanGrid, Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, or Spectrum is a preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and schedules to support execution across all phases of construction
  • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to address design, coordination, and field challenges
  • Support preconstruction planning, scheduling, and job setup activities
  • Maintain and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittmits, change requests, and procurement logs
  • Assist with procurement of materials, equipment, and tools, ensuring timely delivery to job sites
  • Support cost tracking, job projections, and budget monitoring to align with project goals
  • Help prepare progress reports, percent-complete updates, and payment applications
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain professional communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination, including invoices, requisitions, and documentation review
  • Support enforcement of company safety policies and quality control standards through coordination and site visits
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company standards
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and support successful project delivery
