Assistant Editors play a critical role in ensuring a seamless, efficient, and high-quality peer review process through proactive pipeline management and strong editorial support. Leveraging interpersonal awareness, collaboration, action-oriented problem-solving, and resourcefulness, they identify potential challenges, make sound decisions, and work closely with journal Editors to ensure peer review is conducted efficiently while upholding the highest standards of quality, integrity, and author experience. Assistant Editors collaborate with Editors and internal stakeholders to uphold journal brands and reputations by ensuring adherence to editorial policies, publishing standards, and compliance requirements throughout the publication lifecycle. Through expertise in publishing workflows and systems, editorial practices, and manuscript assessment, they support the successful progression of manuscripts from submission through final decision. This is a hybrid role based in New York. This location supports effective collaboration with the team and aligns business needs.
