Role Overview As part of a CIEEM Registered Practice, we are committed to delivering high standards of professional practice, ethics and quality. The Consultant Ecologist plays a role in contributing to delivery of these standards. This role is responsible for delivering ecological surveys including data collection and reporting. The Consultant Ecologist is responsible for delivering ecological survey programmes. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services, including project management and client communications. Good organisational skills and survey knowledge are essential.

Requirements

  • foundation experience in Survey design, as well as species and/or habitat survey delivery;
  • foundation experience in Ecological assessment;
  • Produces clear, concise, factual and accurate written communications using a good standard of grammar;
  • foundation experience in Different technical approaches, problems and challenges of other disciplines;
  • foundation experience in Delivering high standards of care and service for stakeholders;
  • foundation experience in Project management processes and systems.

Nice To Haves

  • foundation knowledge of legislation, policy and guidance.
  • foundation knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and organisational H&S policies and procedures.
  • foundation knowledge of managing quality and resources;
  • foundation knowledge of information and document management and/or effective use of information technology.

Responsibilities

  • support the delivery of small-medium scale ecological consultancy projects.
  • provide input to technical reports of ecological projects.
  • manage task to budget and programme to ensure successful delivery.
  • support ecological surveys.
  • work to high standards of health and safety, quality assurance and professional practice.
