About The Position
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring a part-time, hourly Assistant Early Education Teacher to help nurture children through engaging, age-appropriate learning and care. The role supports planning and implementing child-centered curricula, provides a patient and sensitive environment for children and families, and helps maintain a healthy and safe childcare setting. The YMCA offers team support and opportunities to learn and grow.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Two years (2,500 hours) of verified childcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula with fun, child-centered, age-appropriate lessons.
- Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for children and families.
- Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting children's personal care routines.
- Supervise children by identifying, seeing, hearing, directing, and assisting them to ensure a safe environment.
- Follow YMCA, state, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for quality childcare.
