The Assistant Superintendent will actively contribute to the management of a new project, Les Terrasses d’Auteuil, a 4-story, 142-apartment residential complex in Auteuil, Laval. This modern, bright, and sustainable project is designed for the comfort and quality of life of future residents and serves as an anchor point in Laval, with future opportunities across the Greater Montreal area (Montreal, North Shore, and South Shore).

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and plan; methodical.
  • Enjoys teamwork and has ease in developing interpersonal relationships.
  • Communicates effectively with various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates great autonomy and takes initiatives to advance projects.
  • Shows good judgment in analyzing various situations and can quickly assess the right action to take.
  • Functions easily in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Procore, and 3D design software (Auto-Cad, Revit, Sketch-up or equivalent).
  • 0-2 years of experience as a project coordinator, assistant project manager, or assistant superintendent.
  • Experience in the construction field.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, building engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with the general superintendent, ensure the coordination of all activities leading to the realization of construction projects.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure proper follow-up of field operations and administrative controls.
  • Keep up-to-date all indicators used for monitoring project progress, including the schedule and various reports.
  • Participate in the coordination of site-related activities.
  • Attend site meetings.
  • Work in conjunction with the superintendent for short, medium, and long-term planning.
  • Monitor daily progress and update the schedule.
  • Collaborate with site stakeholders for the smooth functioning of daily activities.
  • Participate in electromechanical coordination meetings.
  • Take charge of certain technical issues to be resolved on site.
  • Participate in quality control follow-ups on site.
  • Manage the physical organization of the site and its cleanliness.
  • Ensure the supply of materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the progress of the work.
  • When required, write and respond to site instructions/directives.
  • Complete reports and site logs (daily).
  • Ensure the application of current standards and laws, as well as health and safety programs.
