About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is proud to contribute to the modernization and rehabilitation of the Îles Maligne hydroelectric power plant, located in Alma, Quebec. This major project aims to ensure the sustainability and energy efficiency of this strategic infrastructure, by integrating sustainable and innovative solutions. The work includes upgrading equipment, improving mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. This project is carried out in EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Management, and Construction) mode, which implies close coordination between all disciplines. Particular attention is paid to the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) vision to guarantee a safe working environment that meets the strictest standards.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in industrial construction, ideally in electricity (site or projects).
  • Field experience on electrical sites; experience on major projects is an asset.
  • ASP Construction training is mandatory.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in French.
  • Autonomy, rigor, versatility, and strong teamwork aptitude.
  • Available to work in the Alma region.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in coordination meetings (electrical engineering, OHS, environment, quality, client, contractor).
  • Organize technical, safety, and constructability meetings, and ensure follow-up.
  • Collaborate closely with the electrical sector manager and the contract manager.
  • Ensure follow-up of access and authorizations for electrical contractors.
  • Understand electrical plans and specifications to answer questions and support issue resolution.
  • Follow up on contractual modifications and involve engineers/experts when required.
  • Ensure that electrical technical information circulates effectively.
  • Verify that the electrical contractor has the necessary information, approvals, and tools.
  • Forward questions to the right resources and manage issues throughout the mandate.
  • Support budget and administrative follow-up in collaboration with Administration and Cost Control.
  • Ensure follow-up for obtaining documents and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the planning of short and medium-term electrical work.
  • Organize follow-up meetings and anticipate blocking points.
  • Monitor coactivity with the Construction team, particularly during the preparation and commissioning of electrical lots.
  • Organize meetings with the client team and verify that responsible parties have the required training.
  • Prepare and lead P2, P1, and P0 meetings.
  • Ensure general coordination with the power plant for electrical work.
