About The Position

The ideal candidate will have an outstanding attitude and be motivated to ensure the member, guest, and passenger experience are above expectations while always keeping safety awareness in mind. This individual must be flexible with the constant day-to-day activities that arise. Under the supervision of the Marina Dockmaster, the Assistant Marina Dockmaster is instrumental in assisting with the daily operation of our Marina. They must possess strong leadership qualities as they will be managing multiple marina positions including Front Desk Agents, Dockhands, and Mates.

Requirements

Possess USCG Merchant Mariner Credential: Master, minimum 25 Tons.
Possess a valid Drivers License - Class E.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience commanding inspected passenger vessels in either inshore, near shore, or offshore operation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to operate various hotel/marina software.
Drug free and prepared to enter Maritime Consortium.

Nice To Haves

3+ years’ experience in a Marina related position.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to resort Members and guests, with quick problem-solving skills.
Perform billing for annual guests, including monthly dockage, electrical, and incidental charges.
Maintain weekly charter commission logs.
Manage inventory of marina supplies and reorder as necessary.
Assist the Dockmaster with scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
Operate the resort’s fleet of vessels when necessary.
Ensure knowledge of all USCG regulations and safety drills for operating a Commercial vessel.
Complete goals and targets in a timely manner.
Work outside on a regular basis, often in high temperatures and humidity.
