About The Position

This position supervises employees within the department and is responsible for enforcing operational and safety policies, overseeing receiving and shipping, ensuring inventory accuracy, coordinating storage, managing employee work assignments and attendance, maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse, interviewing and training employees, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring adherence to Human Resources policies. The role also involves achieving Key Productivity Indicator (KPI) metrics, managing costs within budget, and potentially complying with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements. Other duties and projects may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 5 years equivalent work experience in business, supply chain and operations management; particularly within the agriculture and construction parts sectors, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous supervising experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Advanced computer knowledge including e-mail, Word, and Excel software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Well-versed with supply chain, inventory management, material requirement and planning, and project management programs.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce proper operational and safety policies/procedures at all times.
  • Oversee receiving and shipping; ensure integrity of inventory levels in SAP, LISA, and NetSuite; coordinate storage of parts in an organized manner.
  • Oversee shipment of parts to customers and/or ASAP stores; ensure proper packaging and utilization of shipping carriers to achieve cost-effective freight.
  • Coordinate with I.C.C. to ensure cycle counts on inventory, discrepancies are investigated and corrected in SAP, LISA, and NetSuite, and root cause analysis done to mitigate repeat occurrences.
  • Prioritize employee work assignments and monitor the time clock for attendance and proper recording of work hours. Help manage employees request for time off.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse to company standards.
  • Interview, hire and oversee training of employees, conduct employee performance evaluations and use corrective disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Achieve or exceed all K.P.I. (Key Productivity Indicator) metrics while maintaining cost at or below budget.
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to Human Resources policies and procedures through enforcement and accountability.
  • Other duties and projects as requested by management.
  • Comply with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).
