About The Position

We are looking for an Assistant Director to lead a Before and After School site at the EnrichEd sites located in Lincoln. A typical day for a School Age Assistant Administrator will include: Working alongside the site Director and team to create a safe, healthy, structured, and nurturing environment. Overseeing the supervision and program planning for the children, including administrative paperwork. Creating and implementing curriculum. Supporting students’ social, emotional, cognitive, academic development, promoting physical health, and providing a safe and supportive environment. Inspiring children to be lifelong learners. Helping students with homework and school projects. Partnering with school faculty and staff to provide a safe and educational learning environment. Showcasing your tech savvy skills by using an electronic daily tracking app. Assisting with the accreditation process as well as other quality initiatives. Playing games and having fun!

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a group setting.
  • A personal demeanor that is warm and friendly.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Team-oriented and willing to work with others.
  • Management / leadership skills
  • Minimum of Associate’s degree OR college credits in related field required.
  • 1-2 years (depending on education level) working with school age children.
  • Able to engage in physical exercise with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting).
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English, bilingual encouraged to apply.
  • Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check.
  • Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, Recreation or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Conscious Discipline preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
