About The Position

The Assistant Director of Training Programs serves as a member of the Counseling Center’s leadership team and provides strategic oversight and operational leadership for all pre-degree training programs within the Center. In the absence of the Director of the Counseling Center, this position acts on behalf of the Senior Director within the executive chain of command.

Requirements

  • Master's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • This role requires advanced clinical expertise, demonstrated leadership skills, and a sustained commitment to the development, supervision, and evaluation of pre-degree mental health professionals across multiple disciplines.
  • This position requires a background check.
  • In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
  • The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator
  • The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations.
  • The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.

  • Participate in occasional evening or weekend outreach, consultation, or training-related activities.
  • Provide limited after-hours clinical support or consultation, primarily phone-based, during rare crisis situations.
  • During declared campus emergencies, perform assigned job-related duties from a designated off-campus location or place of residence in accordance with University continuity of operations plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director in support of Counseling Center operations.
