About The Position

This is a 12-month fellowship. Upon successful completion of the program, the fellow will be promoted to and converted into the role of Assistant Director. The role involves executing strategy and assuming accountability for overall operational and financial performance. The goal is to drive excellence in patient access and patient experience through timely appointment availability, efficient patient flow, high patient satisfaction, and maintenance of network integrity. This includes optimizing operation room, clinic, and staffing workflows to maximize efficiency and resource utilization, supporting adherence to clinical pathways, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards, and monitoring operational budgets, productivity, and resource allocation to ensure effective stewardship of organizational resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/healthcare administration or currently working towards completion of. Other bachelor’s degrees will be considered if leadership experience is met.
  • At least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience with budget and cost control.
  • Experience with productivity metrics and performance improvement.
  • Understanding of service line profitability.
  • Experience with staff management.
  • Experience with physician relations and collaboration.
  • Experience with multi-site or regional operational oversight.
  • Experience with strategic thinking.
  • Specialty clinics background.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows in medical practice.
  • Familiarity with DNV, RHC and HOPD standards.
  • Familiarity with patient throughput, access and care coordination.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle basics (billing, coding, reimbursement).
