The Assistant Director of Residential (AD) oversees the overall operations of residential programs within the assigned region, ensuring the highest quality of care and support for all people receiving services. This role is essential in upholding health and safety standards, facilitating strong communication with families and advocates, and cultivating a positive and productive work environment for staff. The AD provides leadership, support and guidance to the Residential Habilitation Manager (RHM) and Assistant Residential Habilitation Manager (ARHM), ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing daily operations, and enhancing service delivery to meet the unique needs of each resident. Model and promote agency values in all aspects of leadership and service delivery. Provide supervision, coaching, and support to RHMs, ARHMs, and direct support staff to ensure quality services and positive team performance. Serve as the primary liaison with families, advocates, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of supports. Lead and participate in individual-specific meetings, ensuring concerns are addressed and documentation is completed. Respond to emergencies, incidents, behavioral concerns, and operational issues within the assigned region. Ensure compliance with OPWDD, agency, and regulatory requirements; maintain audit readiness and oversee corrective action plans. Implement safeguards following incidents, monitor incident-related corrective actions, and ensure required notifications are completed. Oversee development, maintenance, and staff training related to safety plans, emergency procedures, and fire safety requirements. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained residences. Monitor food service, health and safety standards, and person-centered supports within each residence. Review and approve documentation, including service records, data collection, and billing-related records, to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support staffing operations by overseeing schedules, payroll approvals, time-off requests, training compliance, evaluations, and performance management. Manage residential budgets and financial operations, including purchasing, fiscal oversight, personal allowance accounts, and resource management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individuals' financial planning, benefits eligibility, and spending needs. Facilitate regional and residential meetings, ensuring follow-up on identified concerns and action items. Attend required trainings, meetings, audits, and professional development activities. Participate in Executive On-Call rotation and travel to assigned residences as needed.
