The Assistant Director, Recreation and Intramural Sports is responsible for developing, publicizing, scheduling, promoting, administering, and evaluating a variety of programs including Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Outdoor Recreation, Adult Leagues, Youth Programs, and Summer Camp programs. This role also oversees the planning, coordination, staffing, marketing, and evaluation of revenue-generating programs. The Assistant Director will recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, develop and implement marketing strategies, track program finances, and assist with budget creation. They will also oversee the eSports Café, eSports programming, Club Sports programs, and manage the IMLeagues software. Additionally, this position involves maintaining equipment inventory, serving as a departmental liaison, coordinating facility scheduling, and assisting with departmental guidelines and procedures. The role requires participation in continuing professional development and serving on University committees as requested.
